Safely Reduce Body Fat

1. Reduce your calorie intake. To safely reduce your body fat, you'll need to lower your daily calorie intake. You can maintain a steady weight by consuming approximately 2,000 calories a day. To lose weight, reduce your calorie intake to 1,200 to 1,500 a day.
2. Eat less fat. Consuming excessive fat is a quick way to increase your body fat. To lose body fat, you've got to reduce your fat intake. Choose lean meats and pay attention to food labels. Also, stay away from fatty foods and fried foods.
3. Limit sugars and carbohydrates. Everyone needs sugar and carbs for energy. This is fine, as long as you're burning off the calories. If you live a sedentary life, sugar and carbs can eventually turn into fat, which causes weight gain. Eat less sugar and consider a low-carb diet plan. This involves eating less than 30 grams of carbs a day.
4. Work out at least three times a week. To safely burn fat, carbs and calories, and reduce your body fat, establish a regular workout routine. Exercising three times a week for a minimum of 30 minutes can shed excess pounds. Effective workouts include aerobics, dancing, jogging and power walking.
