When you enter the park, turn right at the Sorcerer's Hat and head under the archway into Hollywood Studios' Animation Courtyard. Check out a variety of attractions that will give you a better look into the movies--swim with Ariel, greet Prince Caspian, learn to draw like a Disney animator, play with Playhouse Disney favorites and take a closer look at the man who made it all happen--Walt Disney himself.
Instructions
1. Join in the Voyage of the Little Mermaid. This live musical theatrical performance puts you right under the sea with Ariel, Sebastian and Flounder as you get a shortened look at "The Little Mermaid." Shows are approximately 20 minutes long and run continuously. Wait times can get lengthy during the middle of the day, so consider using FastPass to ensure seating to a particular show time.
2. Experience the newest show in Animation Courtyard: Journey into Narnia: Prince Caspian. Meet Prince Caspian himself and enter Aslan's Stone Table Chamber where you stand among sets from the Chronicles of Narnia film series. Continuous 15-minute shows run all day long, so while this attraction is new, the wait times are often not too daunting even at the height of the day.
3. Take the little ones to see Playhouse Disney Live on Stage. This interactive show puts kids at the center of the action with friends from Little Einsteins and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Be sure to check the Times Guide insert in the park map to see when to take in this show.
4. Learn to draw like one of the Disney Imagineers at The Magic of Disney Animation. The Animation Academy provides 15-minute lessons on be well on your way to becoming the next top animator for Disney. These animation experiences run continuously, so wait times are often brief. It's also a great attraction to take in early in the morning or before park closing time.
5. Pay homage to the man with all the dreams in Walt Disney: One Man's Dream. This self guided walking tour provides a look at Walt's life and contributions and includes a 15-minute film highlighting some of Walt's finest moments. Tours are held throughout the day and can be experienced at guests' leisure.
