Plan a Weekend at the Porthcawl Elvis Festival
The King maybe be dead, but his spirit is very much alive and celebrated at the Porthcawl Elvis Festival in Wales. But don't think that this is just another bunch of Elvis impersonators because this festival is the biggest event of its kind in Europe. Over 3 days in September, gospel shows and Elvis competitions attract fans from around the globe.
Instructions
1. Check out the Porthcawl Elvis Festival website at the Elvies link below.
2. On the website you can book tickets by clicking on the apply for 2007 tickets button. On the tickets page, print out a booking form, fill it out and send it off. Each event is paid for separately unless you buy a VIP ticket.
3. Buy a VIP ticket package and be admitted you to all the official shows, prime reserved floor shows and entrance to late night after show parties.
4. Go to the festival on Friday and experience the first rounds of the Best Elvis competition, and the Elvis Hall of Fame where past winners come back to Portcawl and perform an Elvis number.
5. Come along on the Saturday and you will get to see the final of the Best Elvis competition and the Glittering Elvis, which is the leading award show for Elvis impersonators in the world.
6. Stay for Sunday and see the Gospel shows, a tribute to one of Elvis's main musical influences. Kraig Parker will be headlining.
