It's possible for digital watches, such as Timex watches, to store settings and information, especially if it's a stopwatch. But it's possible for these watches to freeze up or get glitches. If this is the case with your Timex and you don't want to take it to a professional, you can try to reboot it on your own. However, be aware that any self-repair you try may damage your watch and may invalidate any warranty you have on the watch. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Turn the watch over. Use a small jeweler's screwdriver to remove all the small screws on the back of your Timex.
2. Lift the back panel off the watch and set it aside. The circular battery will now be visible in the compartment. There will be a sticker on the battery with an arrow icon pointing to the exposed AC pad just next to the battery.
3. Unfold your paper clip and lift the sticker on top of the battery. Touch one end of the paper clip to the small, circular AC pad and the other end to the top of the battery. This should reset and reboot the system.
4. Replace the back cover and screws of the watch.
