Plan An Awesome Trip To Paris France

Make an itinerary but allow room for spontaneity, too.

Saying you want to experience everything Paris has to offer in just one visit to this world-class city in France is not unlike going to The Louvre with an expectation of seeing every exhibit in less than two hours. To plan an awesome trip to this diverse city calls for an agenda that focuses on clustered sights, takes advantage of fun freebies and minimizes the stress of both getting around and waiting in long lines.

Instructions

1. Determine your travel budget and the amount of time you can spend in Paris. Research the availability of all-inclusive travel packages, tours and group discounts. Apply for a passport or renew an expired one at least six weeks before departure.

2. Make a list of must-see attractions and must-do activities. These might include iconic landmarks, museums, cathedrals and cemeteries, gardens, art and music festivals, Disneyland Paris, Seine boat cruises, shopping and sampling French cuisine. Group the elements on your list by their proximity to one another, as well as their proximity to Metro stations.

3. Identify which arrondissement (district) is the best anchor point for the majority of things you want to see and do. Paris has 20 arrondissements, each with its own unique vibe and diverse spectrum of accommodations and eateries. Consider a short-term apartment rental if you'd like to cook meals using local produce purchased at weekly farmers' markets.

4. Research Paris restaurants online to start getting your taste buds excited for the trip. Read reviews and ask for recommendations from friends who already have been to Paris. Familiarize yourself with the dress code at upscale restaurants so that you'll be appropriately attired.
