Score A Lot Of Achievements On The Xbox 360

Since the Xbox 360 was introduced in 2005, players have been diligently trying to improve their gamerscores by earning achievement points. Achievements serve as bragging rights for players, showing they have completed certain games and tasks. You can rack up more of these accomplishments faster if you know the approaches, strategies and even specific titles than can earn you the maximum points to improve your total.

Instructions

1. Play more disc-based games. The games you can download on Xbox Live offer 200 possible achievement points, while games on disc offer a possible 1,000 points. Focus on these if you want to improve your score.

2. Open up the achievement list when you start a game. This will show you what you need to do to earn achievements while playing the game, which could save you lots of backtracking later.

3. Go for the easier achievements first. Some achievements are as simple as pressing "Start"--in "The Simpsons Game," it nets you 5 gamerscore points--while others are only for masochists, such as finishing any Guitar Hero game on "Expert."

4. Play more sports games. This genre often offers the easiest ways to earn achievements quickly. Titles that can net you easy gamerscore points include Madden NFL '06, NBA 2K6 and Fight Night Round 3.

5. Beat King Kong. This early Xbox 360 game is among the most famous for offering easy achievement points. If you play through the game, which takes about 6 hours, you will net yourself 1,000 achievement points.
