Iron-on transfers are a very cool addition to any jersey in your wardrobe--until you get tired of them. Not to worry. While iron-on transfers are fairly permanent, it is possible to remove them from a jersey, though it takes a little time and effort. These simple removal options are arranged from the simplest to the most involved, but all of the methods listed here should work well to help you get iron-on transfers off of your clothes. Instructions
1. Test the edge of your iron-on transfer with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol. If the transfer loosens or dissolves, soak a cotton ball in the alcohol and rub it over the entire transfer until it comes off completely.
2. Lay a piece of clean cotton cloth on your ironing board and lay the jersey on top of it, with the transfer against the cloth.
3. Iron the back of the transfer on the hottest temperature you can use without damaging the jersey. This should force the transfer to adhere to the cotton.
4. Lay the jersey on the ironing board with the transfer facing up.
5. Use the tip of the hot iron to melt the transfer, gently encouraging the transfer to peel away from the fabric.
