Send Money Anonymously Online

There is honor and humility in sending money anonymously, especially in the case of a charity. An anonymous payment signifies that you are doing what you can to help out of the pureness of your heart and your desire to help others rather than for recognition. It is also beneficial to donate anonymously to prevent your name and address from being added to mailing lists. You may also choose to send an online donation to an individual, such as a loved one in need who may be too embarrassed to ask for help.

Instructions

1. Establish an anonymous email account. You may need it to sign up for online accounts and services that will send the payment on your behalf. Use a generic name like "John Smith" or simply write "Anonymous Donor" as your sender name.

2. Send money online using a service like MoneyGram.com or WesternUnion.com. Choose a location in the recipient's town and use a credit card to process the transaction. Send an anonymous email to the recipient with the money retrieval password and instructions for where he can retrieve the cash. Identify the specific reason why you are sending the money and yourself as an "anonymous concerned party" so that the person can be assured that this is not some type of scam.

3. Establish a business or premier PayPal account. Paypal allows you to register for an account with a fictitious name or nickname (though your full name is preferred). Add your anonymous email account to the list of email addresses associated with the account. You can then send money to the recipient's email address from that anonymous address.

4. Visit JustGive.org to send an anonymous donation online. Make your payment and check the option to withhold your name and contact information from the charity. NetworkforGood.org and DonorsChoose.org, two more sites that support charities, also give you the option to donate anonymously or with a nickname.
