Reach And Achieve Your Goals

Write out a plan to achieve your goals.

Whatever your goal, it's important to write it down so it can become more concrete as opposed to something in the back of your mind. It's impossible to hit the bull's eye of a target board when you have no target in front of you; that is what it's like to work at something when you have no clear purpose. If you have a large goal, break it down into smaller ones. With a clear-cut plan, accomplish your smaller goals until you achieve your ultimate objective.

Instructions

1. Write down your ultimate goal in a notebook. It must be specific, measurable and realistic.

2. List the actions you need to take to achieve your goal. This breaks down your goals into smaller objectives.

3. Make note of barriers you foresee that can keep you from achieving your goals. Brainstorm ways of overcoming these barriers.

4. Set a start date or a completion date for your mini-goals. Your first deadline should be within two weeks from your brainstorming session so you don't lose motivation.

5. Find an accountability partner, and discuss your goals and deadlines with him. You may be more likely to complete your goal if you know someone is counting on you or cheering you on.

6. Plan rewards for accomplishing your mini-goals and your ultimate goal. This serves as motivation that can help you achieve your purpose.
