Bead Looms Are Easy to Use
Reading bead looming charts or graphs is not too hard. Learn read them and you can create many beautiful craft bead looming projects.
Instructions
1. Position the bead looming graph chart so it matches the direction of the strings on the beading loom. The long lines of the graph paper represent each string on the loom. For example, a bead looming graph chart for a bracelet would have one short end close to you and the length stretched out going away from you.
2. Each square on the bead looming graph chart represents one seed bead. These marks should be in different colors or patterns to represent each color or style of bead. Gather the necessary beads together in a handy tray.
3. Begin by threading long beading threads on the beading loom. You need one thread for each long line on the bead looming graph chart. Remember to have one for each outer edge as well.
4. Thread the beading needle and tie it off to the loom thread on the far right. This is where you start beading from the bead looming graph chart.
5. Put the beads in the correct order on the needle. Look at the bead looming chart for the colors. The row of beads on your needle should exactly match the colors of beads in the first row on the chart.
6. Pull the beads down to the tied off end of the thread and press them up under the long threads on the beading loom. One long thread should be between each bead and there should be one thread on either side of the row.
7. Loop the beading needle thread from the bottom of the loom threads to the top and push it back through all the beads in that row. You have now completed the first row of the bead looming graph chart.
8. Repeat the procedure until you have completed all rows on the bead looming chart.
