When we began new projects and activities, it's easier to develop blisters on the ankles and feet. Perhaps are feet are not used to the friction, or perhaps we are not wearing the correct footwear. Follow the steps below to protect the feet and ankles, and avoid getting blisters.
Instructions
1. When doing activities that produce friction on the feet and ankles, wear correct fitting shoes. This is a pair of shoes that do not let the foot slide around inside, creating friction. Of course, they are not to small either.
2. Always wear well fitting. Socks that are too large bunch up, and socks that are too little, slip off the feet.
3. Wear good cotton socks. It's very important to keep the feet dry. Synthetic fiber socks will encourage the feet to sweet. Thin socks will not offer good protection.
4. Never wear wet or damp socks or shoes. Again, it's very important to keep the feet dry. Wet skin will blister easier, not to mention increase the risk of fungus growth.
5. When feeling a blister coming on, stop the activity. Treat it right away with a liquid bandage, or protect it with gauze tape. Then resume the activity.
