You can build a car the way you want it online.
Car manufacturers offer a variety of useful building and shopping tools to help inform and interest car shoppers. You can virtually make any new car online, whether you intend to purchase it or are just an enthusiast who wants to learn more about a car that's available. You can choose levels, options, colors, and even enjoy a virtual 360-degree view of exterior and interior parts that you've added (with most manufacturers).
Instructions
1. Choose the vehicle you want to virtually build and go to its manufacturer's website. Choose "USA" from the main page options or build your virtual car to a different country's specifications.
2. Find an option on the page that reads "build your own" or "build and price." If you don't see it immediately, choose your car from the vehicle line up and choose to virtually build it once you see the option.
3. Click through different levels of the model you choose. You can view standard features and starting prices. Once you decide, click on the level to continue.
4. Dress up the virtual vehicle in different colors. Click through the color swatches to see the shades on the car you're building. Choose the interior colors, as well. Enlarge the picture or change to the exterior view if the website allows.
5. Click on "next" or switch to options or packages, whichever is offered. Read through the different package details available and click on the description picture or "?" if you want more information about the package or option offered. Choose any of the features you want and watch the price increase while you build.
6. Add different accessories if you want. Accessories are usually offered by the dealership, but you can see the vehicle with the options included and check prices.
7. Change any options that you've already picked out by going back to modify or starting over. View the summary once you are done and print it out if you plan to shop. Many manufacturers also offer an option to save the car you built if you sign in to the website.
