You've decided to take a trip to France, but you may not be sure get started with the planning process or decide which sights you should see during your trip. With all of those beautiful chateaux to visit and scrumptious pastries to savor, the choices are endless. The following tips will help you to plan your next trip to France with ease.
Instructions
1. Buy a France travel guide at the bookstore, or borrow one from your local library.
2. Read about the places you're interested in visiting. Popular places to visit in France include the Cote d'Azur, Paris, Normandy, Lyon, the Loire Valley, Provence, Strasbourg, Annecy and Giverny, just to name a few.
3. Prioritize the places you wish to visit the most. If you absolutely must see Paris or if you can't wait to stroll along the French Riviera, then place those areas at the top of the list.
4. Research lodging and dining options for all of the areas you may visit. Make note of the hotels in your price range for each location.
5. Organize your trip itinerary by deciding how many days you will spend in each of your preferred locations. Make a list of the hotels you hope to stay in as well.
6. Make all of your reservations. Purchase plane tickets, make hotel reservations and decide if you're going to take the high speed train (the TGV) around France or if you prefer to rent a car instead. Purchase your train tickets in advance on the SNCF website or reserve your rental car.
7. Learn basic French phrases before you leave or brush up on the French you already know. Buy a small dictionary and a useful phrase book to help you with basic greetings and questions during your trip.
