Plan A Benefit Dinner For Breast Cancer

Make donations to breast cancer charities as memorials.


Nonprofit organizations are able to increase breast cancer awareness and raise money for treatment through donations from private parties and organizations. The goal is to save lives through early detection and advanced medical therapies. One way an individual or group can help this endeavor is by hosting a dinner party. Invitees will have the opportunity to donate to a worthy cause, enjoy a nice meal and interact with peers in a relaxed setting.


Instructions


1. Choose a breast cancer charity. Many organizations need funds work for breast cancer awareness, research and treatment and treatment. Your fundraiser should benefit one specific group.


2. Choose a date. Try to avoid major holidays or peak vacation times. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and an optimal time for a fundraiser.


3. Decide on a venue. Host a group of ten or less in a restaurant. Rent a banquet hall or private room in a restaurant for larger parties. When using a restaurant, use the menu provided by the establishment.


4. Hire a caterer, unless the party is taking place at a restaurant or in a home. Inform the caterer of your preferred menu choices. Ask the caterer if it has any pink dishes that you can use to go with the breast cancer awareness theme.


5. Determine a ticket price. Include the prorated amount of dinner per guest plus the amount you wish to raise from each attendee. If selling hard copies of tickets, choose pink ones. If printing them, include the words "Breast Cancer Benefit Dinner."


6. Invite guests. Construct a list of people likely to attend and to donate to breast cancer causes. Include instructions on preferred attire and an RSVP card in the invitation.


7. Decorate the party area with pink centerpieces, place cards and flowers to represent the traditional color of breast cancer awareness activities. Use elegant but sparse flowers and ribbons.
